Weebz Welding was invited to be apart of the bringing back to life of NASA's historic Chamber A. The Chamber was built to simulate the atmosphere free conditions of outer space. All of the Apollo equipment and crews tested in the chamber. After being dormant for nearly 20 years NASA needed to update the Chamber to test the next generation space telescope, the James Web Space Telescope. In order to bring the Chamber current to simulate the areas of space the telescope would travel the Chamber had to retrofitted with miles of new aluminum and stainless piping. These new lines will carry liquid nitrogen and helium in an attempt to reach temperatures well below -300F. Welding in the Chamber was challenging as many of the areas were barely maneuverable.
